The New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment – Adaptive (NJGPA-A)

The New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment - Adaptive (NJGPA-A) is administered every March to 11th grade students.  Students must score Graduation Ready on both the Math and ELA sections of the assessment to meet the state’s graduation requirement.  The math section consists of 2 sessions (75 minutes each). The ELA section consists of 2 sessions of reading (75 minutes each) and 1 session of writing (90 minutes).

The New Jersey Student Learning Assessment – Adaptive (NJSLA-A)

All students in grades 7-9 will take the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment - Adaptive (NJSLA-A) in May.  

  • Reading 7-9:  2 sessions, 75 minutes each
  • Writing 7-9:  1 session, 90 minutes
  • Math 7/8/Algebra/Geometry/Algebra II:  2 sessions, 75 minutes each

New Jersey Student Learning Assessment – Science (NJSLA-S)

All students in grade 8 and 11 will take the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment - Science (NJSLA-S) in May.

  • Science 8:  4 units, 45 minutes each
  • Science 11:  4 units, 60 minutes each
