NJSLA Testing

The 2022 New Jersey Student Learning Assessments (NJSLSA) in English Language Arts and Mathematics will occur May 9-12 for all students in Grades 7-8.  Make-up testing will occur May 18-19.  Testing will begin promptly at 7:45 am.  Please mark your calendars and avoid non-essential absences or early dismissals prior to 11:00 am.
Please review the required and recommended items listed on the checklist below:
> Chromebook (required) - Students should bring their Chromebook fully charged.
> Wired Earbuds/Headphones (required) - Some of the literacy units on the NJSLA assessments may include video components; therefore, students are required to bring earbuds or headphones that hardwire to the computer.  Students should avoid wireless Bluetooth headphones, as they will not work properly.
> Reading Material (recommended) - Students who finish early and have logged-out of the test are permitted to silently read until testing is complete.
>Computer Mouse (recommended) - A mouse is not required for testing, however, many students are more comfortable using a mouse during assessments in lieu of the touchpad.
Additionally, the NJSLA Science Assessment will occur for students in Grade 8 on May 25-26.  All students in Grade 7 will follow a regular bell schedule.
