The West Essex Middle School girls’ soccer team clinched the Greater Morris County Title in thrilling fashion, defeating Roxbury 4-2 in a penalty shootout.

In honor of Safe Schools Week, the West Essex Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) sponsored Cookie with a Cop on Friday, October 25. During the lunch block, students enjoyed delicious cookies while engaging in casual conversation with members of the Essex Fells, Fairfield, North Caldwell, and Roseland Police Departments.

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Ms. Lauren Muriello visited West Essex Middle School on October 22 to deliver a presentation entitled The Social Media Culture and How It Has Changed You. Students attended the assembly that morning, and parents were invited to attend later that day at 7 pm.

There will be a social media parent presentation with Ms. Muriello on October 22 at 7:00 pm in the Middle School Auditorium.

It’s been a little more than a month since the Class of 2030 joined the West Essex Family, and their time here thus far has been filled with exciting events and new friendships.

On Friday, September 20 the WEFB Knights defeated Lakeland 40-7, as the Marching Band hosted their annual Band Knight.

West Essex Middle School held its first ever club fair on September 17th and 18th "to inform the students about the clubs and activities available at WEMS."
